CERMEI

District/county (județ) : Arad

Stema Cermei

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 21, 2011.

Oak leaves signify the forest richness of the area, and wheat ears symbolize the basic occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture.

The book represents the circulation of old Romanian books in the Cermei area.

The cross symbolizes the existence of a parish since the Middle Ages.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
