Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a shield-shaped embroidered device with rounded base 3 1/ 2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width blazoned: Argent, a Cavalier’s head erased of the second, clad in a Cavalier’s hat Gules, banded White, plumed of the first, detailed and fimbriated Sable. Attached above the shield, a White scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border inscribed “CLEVELAND HS” in Black letters. All edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent, two bendlets Sable and Gules, in sinister chief a point sinister of the last, overall a Cavalier in lunge of the field. Attached above the shield, a Scarlet scroll inscribed “THE LAND” in base metal letters. Attached below the shield, a Scarlet scroll inscribed “CLEVELAND CAVALIERS” in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Black, red and white are the school’s colors. The Cavalier is the School’s Mascot. The School's Motto is "The Land".

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 6 December 2005.
