Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat în bandă de un brâu undat albastru. În partea superioară, în câmp auriu, se află o coțofană. În partea inferioară, în câmp verde, se află un spic de grâu de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 18, 2013.

The wavy bend symbolizes the Jiu River. The wheat ear and the green field represent the diversified agricultural profile of the locality.

The magpie (coțofană) is a canting element for the name of the locality and, by the way it is placed, indicates the fact that the settlement is located north of the Jiu river.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
