Official blazon

Upon a flash of lightning a horse forcene (i.e., in a rearing attitude) with a coronet of four fleur-de-lis round its neck, a chain attached to the back of the coronet and falling down its near side to a globe on which the horse is standing in its near hind leg; above the horse a scroll inscribed "R.E.M.E." surmounted by a crown. The horse, coronet, chain and globe are in silver plate, remainder gilt.
