Origin/meaning
The flaming sword is that of the Archangel Saint Michael to whom the church is dedicated. After WWI, in 1919, two large cemeteries were installed on the plateau overlooking the village: a French and a German cemetery, which are represented by two silver crosses. The upside-down anchor symbolizes the former importance of shipping on the channel from Oise to Aisne which crosses the municipality.
The golden point (hill, Mont) is a canting element.
