Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom with lower corners arched concavely, divided per saltire white and blue, and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border a yellow musket style rifle and sword in saltire. Attached above the device a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border and inscribed “CROSS” in yellow letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a gold demi-Trojan soldier with blue plume and toga on a white background surrounded by a blue arcing scroll above inscribed “TROJANS” in gold letters and a gold scroll turned blue to the sides and base inscribed “AS GOOD AS GOLD” in blue letters.


Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Blue and white are the school colors. The sword represents leadership, and the rifle denotes loyalty. The crossed pair symbolize the cadets’ devotion to school, community, and country.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Blue and white are the school colors. The Trojan soldier is the school mascot. The gold color metal of the device reflects the cadets’ motto.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 18 August 1994.
