Sköld, genom en laxstjärtskura kluven av blått, vari en stolpvis ställd fisk av guld, och av guld, vari en störtad blå spade.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 11, 1951.

The fish is taken from the seal of the former Stranda hundred, to which the area historically belonged. The division line using salmon tails refers to the salmon fishing and the coastline. The spade refers to the agricultural character of the municipality.
