Arms (crest) of Danderyd

Official blazon

  • (1971) En silverspets i rött fält med en chef av silver, belagd med tre röda rosor.
  • (1946) Delad av silver, vari en bjälkvis ställd grön ekkvist med två blad och två ollon, och grönt, vari en fisk av silver med röd beväring.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1916 to Djursholm (see there) and taken by the new Danderyd municipality in 1971.

The Oak Branch symbolises the Oaks in the Area and the fish is from the Seal of Danderyds Skeppslag.
