DAUERNHEIM

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Wetteraukreis (until 1975 Büdingen)
Incorporated into : 1976 Ranstadt

Wappen von Dauernheim/Arms (crest) of Dauernheim
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The above arms were proposed in 1956. I have no information whether the arms were actually used.

The cross is taken from the arms of the oldest seal of the village, dating from the 17th century. The seal showed a shield with a cross, and as crest a judge holding another cross. The above arms reproduce the cross, but as a symbol of the local court, the judge was replaced by a branch of roses.
