Origin/meaning

The stripes are taken from the arms of the Augustinian canons who served in Šternberk in 1371–1784. The star is taken from the arms of Albrecht von Sternberg, the Bishop of Litomyšl 1371–1380, and also a symbol of the Virgin Mary, the patron of the deacon's church.
