DIENTEN AM HOCHKÖNIG

State : Salzburg
District : Zell am See

Dienten.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on May 28, 1971.

The arms show are based on the arms of the Zach family, who played an important role in the village in the 15th century and until 1649. To distinguish the armsfrom the family arms, the lion is holding the symbol of iron. This also refers to the former iron mining in the area.
