OR, a calvary cross issuant gules charged in base with amitre with infulae all or, all between in fess at dexter an New Mexico sun and at sinister s mullet, both gules.

Origin/meaning

The Sun and Star symbolizes the Two States which the Diocese is located in, New Mexico and Texas. Which is gathered about their Lord symbolized by the Cross.
