DONCOURT-LES-LONGUYON

Département : Meurthe-et-Moselle

Blason de Doncourt-lès-Longuyon/Arms (crest) of Doncourt-lès-Longuyon
Official blazon
French D'azur semé de croisettes recroisetées au pied fiché d'or, au tétragone bastionné et évidé de gueules en abîme.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show the double crosses, derived from the arms of the Dukes of the Bar, as the village historically belonged to the Duchy Bar. The fortress symbolises the Maginot lines, a series of border fortifications before the second World War, which ran through the village.
