Écu ovale: D'azur au coq hardi d'argent, armé de gueules, accompagné de huit fleurs de lis d'or, ordonnées en orle, les deux des flancs mouvant à demi des bords de l'écu.

Origin/meaning

This coat of arms was given to the city of Dormans by King Charles IV, with the motto "vigilantia", perhaps as opposed to the name of the municipality (dormans can mean 'sleepy').
