Incorporated into : 19?? Dornumersiel (2001 Dornum)
Origin/meaning: The arms show the bear of Dornum, coming from the sea. The polder (reclaimed land) Dornumergrode was reclaimed between 1568 and 1571. The leaves symbolise the recovered land, taken from the sea.
