Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 5, 1979.

The deer is derived from the old arms of Sprendlingen and refers to the local Hirschsprung legend. The three acorns are a canting element (Drei= three, Eich=oak), the five leaves symbolize the five former municipalities.
