Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 12, 1975.

The right half is taken from the arms of the Counts of Preysing 1644a.wsa.jpg, who resided in the village Kronwinkl and played a mayor role in the local history.

The pine tree (Fichte) is a canting symbol for Viecht and also symbolises the local forests.
