Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The red and silver division is the arms of the Franken region, to which the area historically belonged. The higher middle point symbolises the high geographical position of the municipality in the Hohe Rhön. The silver thistle is a symbol for the local flora.

Literature : Information provided by the Ehrenberg council.
