Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the 18th and 19th century seals of the city. The upper part shows the cross of the State of Trier, the lower the key of the local patron saint, St. Peter.

Older 15th century, seals of the city show a Gothic church gate with St. Heribert with lance and shield.
