Additions : 1978 Aschendorf-Hümmling (1933 Aschendorf, Hümmling), Lingen, Meppen
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 27, 1982.
The arms are a combination of parts of the arms of Aschendorf-Hümmling (prehistorical monument), Meppen (roses) and Lingen (anchor). The wavy division symbolises the river Ems.
