  • (de) Gespalten und zweimal geteilt mit Herzschild, darin in Rot ein silberner Sparren; 1 und 4: in Schwarz, bestreut mit silbernen Herzen, ein silberner, aufspringender Wolf; 2 und 5: gespalten, vorne in Rot ein goldener, Zinnenbekrönter Rundturm mit schwarzen Tor- und Fensteröffnungen, hinten in Rot ein silberner Balken; 3 und 6: in Rot ein goldenes, liegendes Pferdekummert.

Origin/meaning

The bishop uses the arms of the Counts of Herberstein. The small inescutcheon is the original arms of the family, the wolf is taken from the Lordship Neidberg, the tower of Castilla and the bar of Austria were granted by Emperor Charles V to the family, and the horse collar is taken from the arms of the Hager von Gutenhag family.
