ETELÄ-SAVO - SÖDRA SAVOLAX
Etelä-Savois a region in Finland created in 1997 as part of Itä-Suomi to which it belonged from 1997-2009. Since 2009 it is a separate region. Until 1997 part of Mikkeli province.

Mustassa kentässä vastapalkeittain viritetty käsijousi; kaikki kultaa, paitsi jousen jänne sekä nuolen kärki ja sulitettu pyrstö hopeaa.

The arms were officially granted on September 1, 1997.
The arms are the historical arms of the Savo region.
