Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, împărțit în patru. În partea superioară, în cartierul din dreapta, în câmp albastru, se află o biserică de aur. În partea superioară, în cartierul din stânga, în câmp roșu, se află un stejar de argint. În partea inferioară, în cartierul din dreapta, în câmp roșu, se află un spic de grâu, de aur. În partea inferioară, în cartierul din stânga, în câmp albastru, se află o vază și un pahar din sticlă, de argint. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 13, 2005.

The church symbolizes the Christian tradition of the inhabitants of these lands, where in the component villages of the commune there were wooden churches since the 16th century; at present only the wooden church from Buzești village remains.

Oak means that the town is located in an area rich in deciduous trees, where there are two species of oak, less widespread elsewhere. The ear of wheat symbolizes the occupation of the inhabitants of Lunca Someșului.

The glass and the glass vase represent the glass factory, which has been operating since 1945.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
