FILIPS VAN BOURGONDIË

Born : 1464
Deceased : April 7, 1524

Bishop of Utrecht, 1517-1524

Arms of Filips van Bourgondië

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show quartered the arms of the Diocese of Utrecht (cross) and the arms of the Dukes of Burgundy (Bourgondë) in the other two quarters. This combination can be found on the seals of the bishop and some tapestries. On seals his arms are slightly different from the arms of his half-brother David van Bourgondië.
