De gueules à la barre ondée d'argent accompagnée en chef d'un pic d'alunier et, en pointe de six besants rangés 3, 2 et 1, le tout d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 18, 1991.

The wavy bend in the arms refers to the Meuse river in the municipality. The pick-axe refers to the former importance of mining in the area. The six besants refer to the 6 municipalities taht merged in 1969-77 and also look like a bunch of grapes, which refers to the local vineyards.
