Blason de Foulcrey

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The eagles are taken from the arms of the Counts of Linange, former lords of the village. The dove with ampulla is the symbol of St. Rémy (Remigius), the local patron saint. The fleur-de-lys refer to the possessions of the priory of Zelle in the village, which belonged to the St. Dénis Abbey, which used the royal fleur-de-lys in its arams.
