FROSTA

Province : Trøndelag (until 2018 Nord-Trøndelag)

Arms (crest) of Frosta
Official blazon
Norwegian

I grønt et gull liljesepter.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 26, 1987.

The arms show a sceptre, as in medieval times, Frosta was one of the four main Norwegian places of justice. The seal of the Frostothing from around 1276 shows a king (probably King Magnus VI) holding such a sceptre.
