GAISHORN AM SEE
State : Steiermark
District : Liezen
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on 18 July, 1960.
The arms are canting, showing a Geißbock (billy-goat) in their dexter half. To the sinister, the arms of the Benedictine monastery of Admont are shown. Even today, the monastery plays a very important role in the region. In times past, Admont was the landlord of this part of Styria.
