Escudo de negro, com uma cruz de Malta de prata carregada no cruzamento por um gavião de sua cor, voando, acompanhado por um ramo de oliveira de verde frutado de ouro e por um ramo de sobreiro de verde landado de ouro, atado de vermelho em ponta, juntamente com um cacho de uvas de prata realçado de púrpura, folhado e troncado de verde. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres " VILA DE GAVIÃO ".
