GRANE

Province : Nordland

Arms of Grane

Official blazon

På sølv bunn en springende blå laks.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 18, 1980.

The arms show a salmon, symbol of the rich salmon rivers Vefsna and Svenningelv that run through the municipality. There are many small waterfalls where in summer jumping salmon can be observed.
