Grezhausen was a small village, first mentioned in 1147 and from 1245-1806 a possession of the Cistercian convent in Günterstal. From 1818-1936 it was a separate municipality. As the village was very small, it had no seals or arms. In the 19<sup>th</sup> century a seal with the letters GH was used.
