The arms were officially granted on July 28, 2008.

The cross is the cross of the Trinitarian Order, as the parish of Großkampen was subordinate to the Trinitarian Convent in Vianden. The local patron saint is St. Hubertus, who is symbolised by the two deer antlers in the second and third quarter.

The symbols in the first and fourth quarter are the so-called 'dragon teeth', concrete structures that were part of an anti-tank defense line built during the Second World war, a part of which runs through the municipality next to the village of Berg and is now a protected area.

The four quarters thus also symbolise the villages of Großkampen  and Berg.

Wappen von Großkampenberg

Official blazon

Silber geviert durch mit rotem Pfahl belegten blauen Balken, 1 und 4 zwei schwarze gleichschenklige Trapeze und 2 und 3 zwei schwarze Hirschstangen schräglinks.

Origin/meaning
