GUESSLING-HÉMERING

Département : Moselle

Blason de Guessling-Hémering

Official blazon

Coupé: au 1er de gueules à deux cailloux d'or, au 2e de sable au lion léopardé d'argent, couronné, armé et lampassé d'or; à la crosse d'or brochant sur le tout.

Origin/meaning

The arms show elements of the former lords of the village. The stones are taken from the arms of the Cathedral Chapter of Metz, the lion is taken from the Lords of Varsberg. The crosier refers to the Saint Avold abbey, which also had possessions in the area.
