Escudo de verde, ponte medieval de um arco, de prata lavrada de negro e movente dos flancos, acompanhada em chefe de um maço de canteiro, do mesmo metal entre duas espigas de milho de ouro, postos em roquete. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ FREGUESIA DE GUIFÕES “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 14, 1994.

The corn cobs and the hammer symbolise the main idustries in the parish, agriculture and stone masonry. The old Roman bridge refers to the Roman settlement of Castrum Quiffiones, and thus the long history of the village.
The green shield symbolises the fertile fields in the municipality
