GULLBRINGU- OG KJÓSARÝSLA
Origin/meaning :
The arms depict a Great Auk, an extinct bird once found in great numbers in the North Atlantic. It is believed that the last pair was killed in the year 1844 in the island Eldey; an island belonging to this county.
