Origin/meaning

The design is derived from devices contained in the arms of the province of New Brunswick. The horse on the main sail is taken from the arms of Brunswick in Germany. The Latin Motto translates as “In order to preserve peace”.

The Blazon of the badge was confirmed by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on January 1, 2009.
