Argent; three cotises in baned wavy azure, over all a crescent sable debruised by an Indian fish separ-head gules, bound around the hilt with thongs argent. / D'argent à trois cotices dans unde bande ondée d'azur, brochant sur le tout un croissant de sable sommé d'un harpon indien de gueules, tortillé à la hampe de lanières d'argent.
Motto: We are as one.

Origin/meaning

The Wavy Bands symbolises the Kootenay River, named after the Indians. The depended for Food upon the fish caught in the Rivers and Streams and on the Buffalo. The later are symbolised by the Crescent which alludes to the Horn of the Bison.
