Azure; seme'de-lis or, a castle embattled argent masoned sable, over which a lozenge argent displaying the eagle of Poland gules. / D'azure fleur de lisé d'or, au chateau batillé d'argent maçonné de sable, surmounté d'un losange d'argent à l'aigle polonais éployé de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The Fleur-de-lys and the Castle symbolises the Fort of Louisbourg. Which Queen the Gate was named after is not clear by it was probably Marie Leczinska, Daughter of the King of Poland. [NB: the arms of Poland is an Eagle silver on a red field/MarcusK]
