Sable; a castle embattled argent, masoned sable, over wich a thrid tower with three turrets of the same and upon this tower an escutcheon azure bearing a dove standing argent (from the arms of Montcalm). / De sable, au château bastillé d'argent, maçonné de sable, surmonté de'une troisème trour donjonnée par troix du même et en chef un ecusson, d'azur portant une colombe d'argnet debout (des armes de Montcalm).

Origin/meaning

Montcalm defended Qubec City against General Wolfe, and the Third Tower and the Dove allude to his Arms. The Porte Class is named for the Gates of Canadian Fortresses and Walled Cities, Porte Quebec was one of the Gates of Montreal.
