English | Sable, a bend wavy argent charged with two like cotises azure, surmounted by an Indian's head facing sinister and couped at the shoulder proper having a fillet gules about the temples, depending therefrom. tips downward, four feathers of the second pied of the last, and pendant from the ear. Motto: A l'erte |
Origin/meaning
The Indian head is form the unofficial Badge of the World War II Ship. The Black background symbolises the "Dark Woods" of the Region drained by the Saguenay River. The later is symbolised by the Wavy bend. The Motto translates as On the lookout for danger - ready to act".
