HMS CLARE, ROYAL NAVY

Official blazon
English Blue; a key gold and a sword point downwards white pommel and hilt gold in saltire enfiled with a mural crown also gold charged with a hurt thereon a mullet white.

Origin/meaning

Clare Priory , Suffolk was dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul (Key and Sword). The Ship was an ex US Navy Lend/Lease Destroyer hence the US Military Star. The badge was approved on 1 October 1941.
