HMS DAUNTLESS, ROYAL NAVY

Official blazon
English Blue; the head and shoulders of Horatius vested red armed and helmeted gold feathered red arising out of wavelets silver and green.

Motto: Nil desperandum.

Origin/meaning

In Roman Mythology Horatius defended the Bridge of Rome. The Motto translates as Never dispar. The Badge was approved in 1927 and in 2001 redrawn in a circular Frame.
