Motto: Deus nobis otia fecit
Origin/meaning
The badge shows the so called Liverbird, symbol of the namesake City of Liverpool. The Motto translates as "God gave us this ease". The badge was approved 1936 and in 1976 modified when the discription was changed to White instead of Silver.
