Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 23, 1925 and again on September 30, 1977.

The arms are derived from the 18th century seals of the local council. Older seals already showed a shield held by the local patron saint, St. Peter. The shield showed the arms of the Maillen family, Lords of Hamoir. When the estate became a possession of the Donnéa family, the arms were replaced by the lion of this family. The composition of the seal was made the arms of the village in 1925.
