HARDINGHEN

Département : Pas-de-Calais

Blason de Hardinghen/Arms (crest) of Hardinghen
Official blazon
French blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on April 3, 1992.

The first and fourth quarter show three weasels, taken from the arms of the Desandrouin family. In 1790 François-Joseph Desandrouin founded a local glass factory, which was continued by the family afterwards. It thus had a large impact on the development of the village.
The black lion in the second and third quarter is taken from the arms of the Lords of Fiennes and is the old arms used by the Hardinghen Estate.
