Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2019.

The arms are based on the arms of families having owned in the course of history the domains of Hautvillers, Ouville and La Triquerie. These are the acorns and chevron from the Duchesne de Lamotte (lords of Hautvillers in the eighteenth century) and the stars and demi-fleur-de-lys from the (De) Ternisien d'Ouville family (lords of Ouville in the eighteenth century).

A wolf's head refers to the fact that the domain of La Triquerie belonged to the the Du Maisniel of Applaincourt and then the De Louvencourt families. The arms of the family De Louvencourt showed three wolf heads.
