Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 22, 1960.

The fish in the base of the arms symbolises the former fishing village of Möltenort. The plough iron symbolises the two agricultural villages of Alt and Neu Heikendorf in the municipality. The oak leaves symbolise the forests in the former Schrevenborn Estate. The chevron (inverted V) symbolises the roof under which the villages not co-exist, there is no village Heikendorf, but the three villages together form the municipality. The chevron also symbolises the typical roof-shape of the local farms.
