HEINOLAN MAALAISKUNTA
Region : Päijät-Häme
Former province : Häme
Incorporated into : 1997 Heinola
Official blazon
Punaisessa kentässä paaluittain kaksi reenjalasta, joita yhdistää kaksi päällikkäistä poikkipuuta; kaikki hopeaa.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 1, 1968.
The arms show sled runners. The arms symbolise the sled runners found in the village in 1934, which probably are over 8000 years old, making them the oldest in the world.
