State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Cham
Additions: 1972 Ansdorf, Gotzendorf (partly)

Wappen von Hohenwarth/Arms (crest) of Hohenwarth
Official blazon
German In Rot auf grünem Dreiberg zwischen zwei silbernen Kirchtürmen mit blauem Spitzdach ein goldener Zinnenturm.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 5, 1982.

The golden crenellated tower is reminiscent of the Hohenwarth Fortress, which was built to secure the road to Bohemia at this high vantage point, as the place name suggests (it means high-guard). The two silver church towers refer to the Rott am Inn monastery, which can be traced back to the 15th century as a feudal lord of Hohenwarth Castle.
