Hopeakentässä punainen kolmimastoinen hansalaiva purjehtimassa aaltokoroisella sinisellä tyviöllä, jossa kolme hopeista kalaa järjestettynä 2+1. I fält av silver en röd tremastad kogg seglande på en medelst en vågskura bildad blå stam belagd med tre fiskar av silver ordnade 2+1.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 11, 1951.

The arms a ship of the Hanseatic League, which refers to the long-time importance of shipping and fishing, as well as to the story that the village was founded by Hanseatic merchants. The fish also refer to fishing.
